What is a group buy? Why is it cheaper?

A group buy is a method of purchasing items as a group of customers in order to obtain a discount. The discount is the result of the larger buying power of a group of customers compared to an individual customer.
Let's take the example of a cat-back exhaust system with a retail price of $750. If you want to buy it on your own, you will have to pay the retail price of $750. However if you get together with 9 other customers and decide to each buy one of these systems, you will be able to obtain a volume discount because you are buying 10 systems. The group buy price might be retail price less 10% or $675. This means each of you will save $75 on your exhaust system versus the individual who buys it on his own. Bimmerdepot helps customers get together to get a volume discount.

How do group buys work?

When Bimmerdepot organizes a group buy, it will be listed under the 'group buy' category on the main page. The description of the item will be available as well as the retail price, the group buy price, the closing date of the group buy and the minimum number of participants required.
When you participate in a group buy, your username will figure on the list of participants. You will have to provide your payment information but you will not be charged yet. At the closing date, if there are enough participants, the group buy will be completed. You will receive a confirmation, you will be charged the group buy price and the items will be shipped to you.
If we do not have the required minimum number of participants at the closing date, the group buy will be cancelled and you will not be charged anything.

How long does a group buy last for?

A group buy typically lasts from 1 to 4 weeks. The specific closing date is indicated on the group buy item page. Please note that the times indicated are ET (eastern time). At the closing date, if the group buy is completed (if we have enough participants), we will send you details about shipping your order.

When do I have to pay for a group buy item?

When you participate in a group buy, you must provide your payment information at the time of your participation. This ensures that you secure a spot on the group buy list of participants. You will only be charged once the group buy is completed
If a group buy is cancelled, you will not be charged. You can also withdraw your participation from a group buy at anytime prior to 24 hours before the closing date at no charge. If you withdraw later, some restocking fees may apply. Please note that the times indicated are ET (eastern time).

When will I receive the group buy item I purchased?

For you to benefit from the group buy discounted prices, we must wait until the group buy is completed before we start shipping group buy items. After the closing date, delivery times will be the same as for regular purchases.

Can I receive my group buy item earlier?

If you want immediate shipping on a group buy item, you can order it at our everyday great price using the 'ADD TO CART' option. Unfortunately you will not be able to benefit from the group buy discount.

Can I withdraw from a group buy?

You can withdraw from a group buy at any time prior to 24 hours before the closing date. This is the 'no charge' deadline. You will not be charged anything. If you withdraw after the 'no charge' deadline, we may have to charge you a restocking fee. After the closing date, it is not possible to withdraw. Please note that the times indicated are ET (eastern time).
However please keep in mind that withdrawing from a group buy affects other participants and could even cause it to be cancelled if there are not enough participants. Please make sure you are committed to purchasing the item before participating in a group buy.

When can I participate in a group buy?

You can sign up to participate in a group buy at anytime between the opening date and the closing date. Please note that the times indicated are ET (eastern time).

Can I start a group buy?

You can suggest group buys by contacting us. If there is enough interest, we will work out the best deal possible with our suppliers to offer you the largest discount.

What happens if there are not enough participants?

The minimum number of participants for a group buy is indicated on the group buy page. If at the closing date we do not have enough participants, the group buy will be cancelled and the participants will not be charged. The participants will still be able to buy the item at our everyday great price.

Do you offer a warranty on the items you sell?

Most of our items are fully protected by the manufacturers warranty. Please contact us for details.

- RETURNS -

Can I return an item I bought from Bimmerdepot?

Yes, you can return items that you ordered from us within 10 days if they are in the original packaging, in clean unused, new condition. No questions asked. You must contact us first to obtain a return authorization number otherwise we will not accept your return. You must also include a copy of your invoice/sales receipt. You are responsible for return shipping. Shipping is not refundable. A restocking fee (25%) will be charged on all returns. There will be no fees if the return is a result of our error. What should I do if I want to return an item?

You should contact us first to obtain a return authorization (RMA form). You should then follow the instructions on the RMA form to ship the item back to us. You are responsible for return shipping. COD returns will not be accepted.

How can I order an item from Bimmerdepot?

All orders must be placed through our secure website order form at www.Bimmerdepot.com. This is the fastest and most convenient method.

What methods of payment do you accept?

We accept most major credit cards and Paypal money transfers.

Will you confirm my order?

As soon as you order from us, you will receive a confirmation e-mail with the shipping address, the item description, the shipping method, the payment method and the order total. Please communicate with us immediately if you detect any error in your order.

When will I receive my order?

In-stock items generally ship the same day. Out of stock or backorder items might take a few days before shipping in which case we will let you know the expected shipping date by email. We use air and ground services for shipments to the USA and Canada. Delivery time is between 1-10 days depending on the service and location, with most shipments arriving in 2-5 days. As soon as the item is shipped, we will inform you and give you a tracking number. Group buy items start shipping shortly after the group buy is completed.

Yes, we will email you a tracking number as soon as your item is shipped.

How do you ship orders?

We generally use UPS. We offer you the choice for specific shipping service when available. For some large items, we use truck freight services.

It is actually very safe to order online. All of our transactions are handled by a third party financial institution using industry standard secure method for data transfer and encryption.
